Sad to see Advani’s own party forgot him: Robert Vadra slams BJP

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the politicians are choosing their seats to have the best shot at being elected. Congress party president Rahul Gandhi is contesting from two seats in this Lok Sabha election. Apart from Kerala’s Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi is contesting from his Uttar Pradesh stronghold of Amethi where he is up against Bharatiya Janata Party’s Smriti Irani whom the Congress chief has defeated in the last two Lok Sabha elections. To fight against Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Kerala’s Wayanad, BJP has picked ally Bharath Dharma Jana Sena chief Thushar Vellappally. Left leaders have also said that Congress fielding Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad stands in direct conflict with the idea of Opposition unity and the common goal of defeating the BJP.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra in a Facebook post slammed BJP for not giving LK Advani a seat for the upcoming Lok Sabhba elections.

In the post, Vadra said, “The real leaders and messages – The most important pillar of the party long lost and forgotten. The true leaders with ethics and statesmanship should be rewarded and not ignored. We should not let them wither away. It is disgraceful, if we cannot value their seniority and advice. I have always respected him as a good opposition leader. Sad to see that his own party has forgotten him.”
